Sicilian pasta al forno

Sicilian pasta al forno is one of my last new recipes. It’s about baked pasta crunchy outside and soft inside with a stringy heart of melted cheese.

The pasta is seasoned  with a special sauce made with dried tomatoes and anchovies.

Do you like Pasta ?

I really love pasta and I like to prepare it for my family and my guests.

I enjoy choosing all the fresh ingredients as well as I enjoy wandering the greengrocery’s stalls to find something special. Once bought my fresh products I usually need some time to let myself be inspired by them and try to prepare something new.

this recipe is a mix between a traditional family recipe and my desire to experiment with new dishes

How to serve it?

Sicilian pasta al forno is a perfect rather hot to get a delicious melted cheese.

You’ll need just some minutes on slow fire oven.

  • dried tomatoes
  • anchovies (fish)
  • cappers
  • parmigiano cheese (dairy product)
  • bechamel sauce
  • cheese
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt
  • mint


It is warm after some minutes on slow fire.
